Every year Speke Klein launches a new line at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York, the largest contemporary residential furniture exhibition in North America. For instance, the inside of a typical Speke Klein cabinet drawer, with its beautiful dovetailed joints, is every bit as important and carefully conceived as the outside of a cabinet. Speke Klein furniture products are designed to last for many generations, and apply the finest modern production methods together with time-tested traditional techniques of wood joinery that include finger jointing, mortise and tenon, and dovetailing.

Maintaining a relatively small production facility allows firm founders Robin Speke and Thomas Klein to maintain the quality control consistent with their ideas about timeless design. Both co-founders were trained at England's renowned Parnham College, informing an attitude grounded in a European design sense that combines straightforward functionalism with understated elegance.
